General Information
Electronics Technology is a growing field with employment opportunities
expected to continue their rapid increase. The curriculum is designed
to prepare technicians with a solid core of knowledge and skills that
can be transferred to positions in industry, business, health care,
communications, utilities, government, and other sectors.
The Programs
The Electronics Technology program at Heartland Community College requires
65 credit hours and will prepare students:
- with broad technical skills
- with in-depth expertise in an electronics-related
specialization
(specializations may include general electronics, industrial electronics,
or computer technology)
- to seek a four-year degree

Career Opportunities
Upon completion of the program, students will be able to seek entry-level
employment with manufacturers to produce products or maintain production
